7 Chakra Basics
What are chakras? They are the energetic connection between your spiritual and physical body. Now there is ALOT more to it than that but let’s keep things simple for now. I’ll go into slight detail of each chakra now starting with the Root Chakra!
Your Root Chakra is located at the base of your spine and is represented by the color red. This chakra is associated with feelings of trust, safety, security, grounding, and protection. Other qualities include oneness and connection to others, family loyalty, abandonment, and standing up for yourself. Red and black crystals are best to represent this chakra some examples are Garnet, red Jasper, Obsidian, and Ruby.
Next is your Sacral chakra, located a few inches below your navel and often represented by the color orange. This color is associated with your sexuality & creativity as well as personal integrity, personal power, self-identity, prosperity, and control. Orange and brown crystals best represent this chakra, some examples are Smoky Quartz & Carnelian
Then it’s the Solar Plexus, located at the bottom of your sternum and represented by the color yellow. This chakra is associated with your personality, self-worth, self-esteem, wisdom, and power as well as separation from tribal/family identity, social conditioning, honor, courage, and maturity. Yellow and golden crystals best represent your Solar Plexus, some examples are Citrine, Pyrite, and Tiger’s Eye.
Now your Heart chakra, located in the center of your chest and represented by the color green. This chakra is associated with feelings of love and healing as well as anger, forgiveness, compassion, balance, and strength. Pink and green crystals represent this chakra best, some examples are Rose Quartz, Emerald, and Rhodonite.
Next is your Throat chakra, located at the “Adam’s apple” or center of your throat and represented by the color blue. Typically associated with communication, speaking one's truth, and self-expression. Blue and Indigo crystals like Blue Lace Agate, Chalcedony & Celestite represent this chakra best.
The is your Third Eye chakra, located at the center of your forehead and represented by the color Violet. This chakra is associated with your intuition and psychic abilities as well as your relationship with your higher self or Divines. Purple crystals represent this chakra best such as Amethyst, Lepidolite, or Charoite.
Lastly, we have the Crown chakra, located at the top of your head and represented by the color white or clear. This chakra is associated with your spirituality, connection to the Divine, and walking the path of the spirit, ethics, and values. White or clear crystals like Clear Quartz, Howlite, and Moonstone best represent this Chakra.
The first 3 are considered your spiritual chakras, which focus on your connection to the Divine and our Higher Self. The lower 3 chakras are considered your physical chakras, they are considered to be what grounds us to the Earth.
