Agate
Today let's talk about Agate, there are TONS of different types of Agate and each has its own vibration and meaning. Agate comes in lots of colors including blue, green, brown, yellow, pink, white, orange, black, purple, gray, red, and every other color in between and each stone carries different properties depending on color. Agates are typically composed of quartz crystals, typically Chalcedony, which gives them a hexagonal structure; meaning that, in general, Agates help one achieve their desires. Seeing as there are so many different types let's just discuss Agates as a whole and then dive into a few of my own personal favorites.
Due to their many colors and properties, Agates work well for all Chakras, depending on the color of course, and can be worn as any type of jewelry. In general, Agate helps with emotional balance, calmness, and concentration. Just to touch upon a few other colors, Blue Agate works best for communication and honesty, Orange or Brown Agate for self-control, and Pink Agate for compassion. Now, let's go a bit more in-depth into a few other types of Agates.
Blue Lace Agate is a soft blue color with gray or white strands running throughout, mostly found in Africa or Brazil. Blue Lace Agate is a calming stone, helps with communication and public speaking, aids in relieving deep-rooted negative emotions and promotes tranquility stimulates the Third Eye and Throat Chakras, and works best when worn as necklace or earrings.
Moss Agate is a translucent stone with variant shades of light to deep green and flecks of white, brown, gray, or black; mostly found in Australia, Brazil, or the Czech Republic. Moss Agate fosters an appreciation for nature, supports new beginnings, attracts prosperity, and encourages love. Moss Agate is often called the "Gardeners Stone" for its ability to aid in improving ones gardening abilities. Stimulates the Heart Chakra and works best when kept in your wallet, register (for store owners), or a piggy bank and can also be placed in/around your garden.
Botswana Agate is a stone composed of rivers of gray, brown, and white, mostly found in Africa where it's called the Sunset Stone because it retains sunlight and comforts people through dark, lonely nights. Fun Fact; Botswana Agate was traditionally used in African fertility rituals to encourage the conception of strong, healthy offspring. Botswana Agate aids in emotional healing is said to aid in overcoming addiction (specifically smoking), balances positive and negative energies, and inspires creativity. Stimulates the Root and Sacral Chakras and works best when worn as any type of jewelry, can be submerged in water to charge for drinking (specifically for smokers), or set in your desired creative thinking space.
