This beautiful moss looking stone is said to encourage gardening, help those with "green thumbs" and aid in the growth of new crops making this crystal especially useful for those who love to garden.
One of the many reasons I love Moss Agate is for its ability to aid one in releasing trapped emotions and reduces emotional trauma, as like many I have a hard time letting things go.
Other metaphysical properties include attracting prosperity, wealth and success and helping one with concentration, endurance and persistence.
Moss Agate stimulates the Heart Chakra and is useful for opening one's heart to new love and friendships as well as helping the growth of existing love.
The best ways to use Moss Agate is to wear as jewelry, mainly a necklace to keep it close to your heart, you can place it in your plants soil as it is water safe or keep it in an area in your home where you feel could use the most loving energy.

Acts of Service: If this is your love language then you love when your partner goes out of their way to help you with daily tasks without being asked, such as unloading the dishwasher before you get home from work or waking up early to make your coffee in the morning. ]]>1. Go back! Maybe back to your first date or the place where you said I love you for the first time, or even back to where you spent your first Valentine's Day!
2. Go on a picnic. This is a truly timeless date idea. Having a little picnic with electric candles, some wine and a fun little charcuterie board is a nice way to spend the evening; could even play some music and dance under the starts together. We've done this before and it was absolutely wonderful!
3. Try something new! Have you been in a rut? Maybe you go to the same restaurant on your anniversary, valentine's day, and every special occasion in between. Go somewhere new, try a different cuisine you've never tried before, personally we enjoyed Moroccan food a few years back and truly enjoyed it.
4. Go to an amusement park. This is a wonderful suggestion if you have kids and want to include them in your valentine's day activities!
5. Go dancing! Find a nice dance hall nearby, get all dressed up and dance the night away! We haven't been out dancing since we had our beautiful daughter so this may be our fun date night idea!
Will you be enjoying one of the date night ideas listed above? Tell me how you'll be celebrating your love below!
]]>First, you need to establish what's most important to you this year. Simplify your goals for 2022 into 1-2 of your most important resolutions. You don't need 5 and simplifying your list down to what is truly important is step 1 into being successful in the new year.
Second, Make a plan. Perhaps your goal is to lead a healthier lifestyle in 2022. Your plan shouldn't be "lets dive right in on the 1st with ALL major life changes at once." You'll need to ease yourself into it. Focus on replacing all your processed carbs like white bread with complex carbs such as whole grains and starchy vegetables. Then, after you've gotten used to that replace your sweets with fruits. Maybe, start with yoga once a week and work your way up to daily from there and slowly go into more rigorous workouts from there. Same can be applied to most all resolutions. make a plan and start slow.
Thirdly, find a way to keep yourself accountable. Maybe for every 5lbs you lose you get to buy a new outfit or add $20 into a jar for a new wardrobe when you finally reach your goal. Another possibility is having someone who helps you stay focused like a workout buddy. Having smaller goals on the way to your 1 big goal gives you more to look forward to as opposed to thinking, "oh it's goanna take forever to get to 50lbs". Instead, you'll be saying "Yes, 5lbs down, I get $20 added to my goals jar!"
Lastly, have a visual of your progress. Like stated above this could be knocked out in conjunction with accountability. Having a jar that says your goal with marbles for every pound you lose creates a positive viewpoint as the jar fills with your progress. Even a chart with boxes you color in along the way works as well. The important part is that you track your progress.
Now, I used weight loss as an example above, but this process can be used with any resolution. I want to start reading more so one of my 2 resolutions is to read 100 books in 2022 so what I've done is planned out how many books a week I need to read to get there. Then I joined a fun online book club, and I purchased a book with enough pages so I can write down each book, rate it and write little notes about my experience. Lastly, every 10 books I finish I get to go out for Chinese food, my husband and daughter hate it so it's a nice treat for me that I rarely enjoy. After all the Chinese takeout my 2023 New Year's resolution just might be losing a few pounds!
I truly hope this helps you stick to your goals this year and follow through with your promises you've made to yourself. Cheers to future you on a job well done in 2022!
]]>Some helpful tips on how to set your New Years' resolutions realistically with purpose instead of just the same old goals year after year. Before actually setting onto your intentions for the year I want you to consider a few things, how do you want to feel in 2022? Do you want to look different? Spend your time more wisely? Or do you simply want to realign your goals and refocus your attention on the truly important things? Take some time to reflect on this past year and journal about all the things you want to change in the coming year.
Setting new intentions for the new year can be a truly tricky task so I suggest creating a space of comfort for yourself, sit down in your favorite chair with some soothing chamomile tea, a cozy blanket, light a candle or some incense, and a journal to write all your thoughts in. Now let's do some visualizations together.
I want you to picture where you want to be at this exact same time next year. The people you want to be with, where you want to be, how you want to feel etc. be as descriptive as possible when describing what your future self should look and feel like.
Now that you've looked forward, let's look back. I want you to write down your regrets and your accomplishments over this past year, no matter how big or small. How could you have fixed that problem or maybe how can you recreate that amazing feat? This is the truly hard part, looking at your flaws and weaknesses is never easy so I want you to be truly and brutally honest with yourself and don't hold back with your accomplishments, even something as setting new boundaries with an old roommate can be a huge step in the right direction.
Once you are finished let's try to break these down into your dreams and desires for 2020. I want you to write out all of the goals you have for yourself, again no matter how big or small. Now, let's take that list and make a plan, too often we come up with goals that are just a little beyond our reach in a matter of a year so let's do a 1-year goal, a 5-year goal, and a 10-year goal.
I'll give you an example using my list. My list consists of having X amount of sales, Pay for a trip using just my store commission, having a small shop downtown, and finally being able to sit back and relax and have someone else manage all my daily tasks while I focus on making products and I would like to do all this while homeschooling my daughter. Now let's put all of this into our new list to make things more doable.
1-year goal: Have X amount of sales & pay for a family vacation
5-year goal: Have a small shop downtown
10-year goal: Be able to hire help
Now under each category, I want you to write out steps in which you think each goal could be achievable. So if my 1-year goal is to have X amount sales and pay for a vacation then I might want to look into where we want to go so I have that price point in mind, then with that price point, I know how much I need to make in sales a month and then make a plan about how to go about doing it, like marketing strategies or ways to boosts sales. Next is my 5-year goal, now I know a shop is what I want but 1 year is just a little too soon. Being realistic in your goals is key, getting a storefront takes a lot of research and knowledge and due to having a curious toddler, I know that 1 year for that specific goal is highly unlikely. Lastly, you have your 10-year goal, now this last goal might change but it doesn't hurt to plan it all out now.
And you're done! your New Years Resolution is right in front of you! Still not quite sure what's going on? I'll help, in my year one category I wrote "have X amount of sales and pay for a family vacation" so my new years' resolution to focus on expanding my business and marketing strategies but I don't want it to take over my home life, I have a little one to homeschool so my New Years resolution would be to spend my time more wisely, limit "work" to Monday through Friday with only 5-6 hours a day. This will give me the time I need to focus on my business but also give my daughter the time she needs with me.

]]> The Moon affects more than the tides, one study done by Swiss researchers found that most people generally have a harder time sleeping during a Full Moon which suggests that we are affected by lunar energy. The female menstrual cycle is often referred to as "moon cycles" due to a menstrual cycle and lunar cycle being roughly the same length, research also shows that more women menstruate during the New Moon than any other phase.
Phase 1: The New Moon, the beginning of the cycle, is often associated with cleansing. Great for intention setting and self-care.
Phase 2: Waxing Crescent: Growing light, illuminates intentions and intuitions. This is the perfect time for goal setting and planning.
Phase 3: First Quarter Moon, strong light brings focus to maximize intentions. This is a great time for taking action and working to bring goals to fruition.
Phase 4: Waxing Gibbous, increasing excitement, and energy, nurture's hopes and dreams until visible in the Full Moon. This is ideally the best time for reflecting and meditating.
Phase 5: Full Moon, energy, abundance, gratitude; also a time of cleansing and letting go. This is a great time for manifestation, ceremonies, and divination work.
Phase 6: Waning Gibbous, reflection, learning, refining based on lessons learned. This is the perfect time for creative pursuits and hobbies.
Phase 7: Last Quarter Moon, acknowledge and release, a time of forgiveness. This is the ideal time for energy clearing.
Phase 8: Waning Crescent, end of the cycle; renewal and inward reflection, in thoughtful darkness, as a new cycle begins. This is the perfect time for quiet contemplation and planning the next steps.
It takes roughly 29 days for the moon to pass through all eight phases. The cycle begins with the New Moon, which appears dark to us due to the Moon and Suns alignment with the Earth, as the moves, it creates a waxing effect until the Full Moon occurs and transitions through the waning cycles and back around to the New Moon when the cycle begins again. Use the light of the Full Moon to cleanse crystals (set them out on a window sill in the direct light of the Moon) or make the moon water by placing a clear glass jar out directly in the light of the Full Moon. The energy the full moon gives off can help to clear negative energy or recharge your energy.
